Context: Ep. 6.08, "Tabula Rasa": This song plays at the end of the episode, after everyone's memories have returned. Spike finds Buffy at The Bronze, but she wordlessly rejects him and he turns to leave, frustrated and hurt. The next time we see them, moments later, they are kissing very passionately near the stairway. Buffy apparently changed her mind and stopped him from leaving.
