Site Info

I originally created Nothing Like the Sun around 15 June 2002 ... as a nameless section of my personal site, simply as a place to store my fan fiction when FanFiction.net was down (which it often is). Then, one day, FanFiction.net went down ... and stayed down for the count. Well, for a couple weeks, anyway. I was soooooo bored. So I decided to build a real true live website. And ... ta da! Nothing Like the Sun was born.

Since its infancy, Nothing Like the Sun has been built entirely by yours truly (with a bit of help from my husband, Shannon), mostly with hard-coding of html. I used a program called PageSpinner a little bit for a while, and now have begun using Adobe GoLive 6.0, which makes overall site consistency easier to accomplish. But I must admit that I still tend to do stuff with hard-coding, because it just feels more comfortable and familiar. I also make all the site graphics myself, using Photoshop 3.0 (when I started out) and Photoshop 7.0 (more recently).
