Thanks and Credits

This is the page where I get to acknowledge all the great people and websites that have helped me to create and continually improve Nothing Liking the Sun.

First of all, I have to thank my husband, Shannon, who first encouraged me to start a website and helped me learn both html and Photoshop. He also betas all my fics and is always willing to put down whatever he's doing to come and look at the new wallpaper or fic title image I've created and tell me it's wonderful.

Next, I'd like to thank Geo (of Spikesearch and the Top Stakes Awards), Kim (of BuffyPedia), Trisha (of Drowning or Waving), Gayle (who does not yet have her own website yet, but is also known as Crunchberry), Mary (of The Crypt Door), and Thia (of Forever Beautiful). All of these wonderful women have been great online friends and supporters of my work ... Mary has also provided me with a lot of great S/B fanfic recommendations! And Thia's artwork is always an inspiration.

A grateful hug and warm thanks to everyone who's ever given me or this site an award. I live for the feedback, and you guys make it all worthwhile! Actually, the same goes for all of you who visit the site and send me email or sign the guestbook to tell me that you like it. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I'd also like to thank all of the S/B (and, I must admit, S/X) fanfic authors who have provided me with so many hours of reading enjoyment ... especially those who have been gracious enough to allow me to archive their stories here. You all rock!

I also want to acknowledge and thank the other websites I've consulted to augment my own watching and re-watching of the show's episodes. The following websites have been a particularly great help to me, especially in compiling my "Facts" section: the official Buffy site; BuffyPedia; Psyche's transcripts; the Buffy Dialogue Database; BuffyGuide.com; Two Demons, a Girl ... and a Batcave; and the Buffy and Angel Music Pages.

Lastly, I most definitely owe a great debt of thanks to the people who have provided the screencaps and photos used on this site — the images I have manipulated to produce site graphics, fan art, and wallpapers. None of the original photographs are originally my own work (I certainly don't have access to James Marsters such that I can take lovely photos of him for use in my wallpapers!) I've just collected them from hither and yon, and they are copyrighted to their original owners (and I have obtained permission wherever possible). Promo shots have been taken primarily from the official Buffy site, ILB'S IMG'S, A Thousand Words, Sarah-Michelle-Gellar.com, James-Marsters.com, Pure-Evilness.com, High Quality Pictures, The Cheese Stands Alone, and the Official Seth Green Homepage. The screencaps are almost all taken from Alanna's BTVS Screencaps, Nadine's Just Imagine, Under Rug Swept, and Amanda White's incredible screencap site. I have a few images here with mysterious origins. That is to say, I don't remember where I got them, since I have gathered these over time. I certainly did not intend to steal anything or offend anyone, so if I have accidentally done so, please just let me know and I will either give you credit or remove the image from my site ... your choice.

To manipulate those images and produce interesting effects, I've occasionally used amazingly wonderful brushes from Nocturna and Paint With..., both of which are wonderful sites with really neat free brushes for Photoshop!

I'm sure I'm forgetting to thank some people who've given me help, encouragement, and support ... and to those of you who know who you are, I offer my apologies. I do appreciate what you've done for me ... I'm just getting forgetful in my old age. ;-)
